We Come to Summerlin
One of the most common reasons players in Summerlin put off getting lessons is the drive. McNamara Tennis Academy solves that by traveling directly to you for private instruction. We work with Summerlin players at parks and courts close to their neighborhood, so you spend your time on the court instead of on the road.
As a family-run, father and son academy led by coach Dillon McNamara, we keep things personal from the first call. We want to understand your goals before we ever step on the court, and we build a training plan around you specifically, not a generic curriculum.
Group clinics and junior sessions are available at our Henderson locations for Summerlin families willing to make the short drive. Many of our Summerlin junior students do exactly that for the structured group environment and peer competition it provides.
Programs for Summerlin Players
Private lessons come to you. Group programs are a short drive away.
Private Lessons (On-Site in Summerlin)
This is our primary program for Summerlin players. We travel to courts convenient to your home and deliver fully personalized coaching, including video analysis of your strokes. We work with players of all ages and skill levels. Rates range from $60 to $100 per hour depending on the coach.
Junior and Youth Clinics
Group sessions for young players from age 4 through high school, held at our Henderson locations. Organized by skill level from Red Ball beginners through advanced competitive training. Classes are $25 per session. Many Summerlin families make the short drive and find the group environment invaluable.
Adult Group Clinics
Wednesday nights from 6:30 to 8 pm, open to adult players from complete beginners through the 4.5 level. A fun, social way to get structured coaching and meet other players in the valley. Classes are $25.
The Coach Behind the Academy
Dillon McNamara has roughly 19 years of competitive playing experience, including time spent at the men's open, futures, and challenger levels. That competitive background means the instruction he delivers is grounded in what actually works at a high level, not just recreational theory.
With five years of full-time coaching behind him, Dillon has refined a method built on genuine long-term development. One of the tools he relies on most is video analysis. During sessions he records strokes and then reviews the footage with the student so they can see their own mechanics with fresh eyes. This step alone often unlocks improvements that verbal instruction cannot produce.
Keeping a high coach-to-student ratio is a core part of the approach. Courts are never overcrowded, which means every player gets real feedback and enough repetitions to make progress in each session.

Who We Work With
Summerlin players we coach range from 4-year-olds picking up a racket for the first time to competitive adults working toward a specific USTA rating goal. Kids start in our Red Ball beginner program, which uses slower balls and smaller courts designed for young learners. Older juniors move into skill-based groups that match their level.
Adult players of all backgrounds are welcome. We have coached complete beginners who had never played a point, recreational players trying to become more consistent, and competitive league players working on specific weaknesses. If you are unsure where to start, one phone call is all it takes to figure out the right fit.
